Does Hell Exist? PROOF From The Bible
Does the thought of eternal damnation keep you up at night? You’re not the only one. Hell, sometimes it feels real and sometimes it doesn’t, but can you really know for sure? What’s worse? Being good all your life and realizing that there was no heaven or hell or being evil and having to burn FOREVER because of your actions? Obviously being good is better but do you still need some more convincing? Here’s PROOF that hell exists! Read on to know more about a place you’ll never want to visit.
Hell is a reality
Revelation 20:14–15
14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Yes, the Bible is 100% clear that hell exists. It is a place of conscious torment after death. The Bible speaks of hell being a reality in the same way it talks about heaven being real. In fact, Jesus spent a lot more time warning people about the dangers of hell than he did talking about the hopes of heaven.
Hell wasn’t made for man
Matthew 25:41
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
God’s plan intended for demonic spiritual beings, not people to experience being in hell. Since we disobeyed and indulged in sin, we became filthy and hell became a possible residence.
Hell goes beyond just physical pain
Luke 13:28
“There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth”
Outside of heaven nothing is good. When you are separated from God, who is the ultimate source of all goodness you will be in darkness. Here on earth, those who don’t believe in God still get to experience His gifts through love, relationships, family & other such joys, but in hell, there will be nothing but torment, intense grief and horror FOREVER.
Hell is eternal
Matthew 25:46
46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Once you’re in hell, you’re in hell. If you trust in Jesus, you could spend forever-and-ever with Him in heaven, but if you don’t, there is no going back. The punishment of hell is as never ending as the joys in heaven.
Hell is an option
Hebrews 9:27
9:27 And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment,
It might be surprising, but the gates of hell are locked from the inside. You don’t have to be in hell if you don’t want to, but everyone has only one life in which to determine their destiny
