McCarthy Slams Biden Summit with Putin

In a statement on Thursday, Kevin McCarthy, House Republican Leader and Representative of California’s 23rd District, criticized President Joe Biden’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stated that Biden had given Putin a pass, after years of maintaining silence over former President Donald Trump’s relationship with the Russian President. “We know Vladimir Putin silences and imprisons his critics,” McCarthy said, referring to the two American Marine Veterans who are being held as prisoners in Russia and the Russia-linked cyberattacks which have disrupted US citizens.
